Czech Ambassador is visiting Dnipro
Ambassador Radek Pech and Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov took part in the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Czech Republic’s membership in the EU.
The Dnipro City Council reports this.
“Over the years of this terrible war, we can really see that the Czech Republic is not only our reliable partner. They are our true friends,” Filatov emphasized.
Also on this day, a Ukrainian-Czech conference of cooperation between educational institutions and enterprises was organized. The mayor called its holding an important event for Dnipro, because, despite all the challenges of a full-scale invasion, it remains a city of students and leading institutions of higher education.
Filatov also noted that cooperation between universities has become one of the priorities in interaction with the Japanese city of Osaka, where an agreement on the post-war restoration of the Dnipro was recently signed between the two mayors.
For his part, Mr. Radek Pech added that in addition to the assistance that the Czech Republic provides to Ukraine, his country is also ready to share its experience in the negotiation process for accession to the EU.
“The European Union is a guarantee that its members can always rely on their other colleagues in the European Union. And at the same time, Ukraine can rely on the support of EU members in its fight against the Russian aggressor,” Radek Pech said.
