Not only real estate can be seized: what property will be confiscated from evaders?

After the new legislation on mobilization and fines came into force in Ukraine, they began to actively discuss the list of property that authorized bodies cannot seize if the debtor has not paid the fine.

At the same time, many lawyers who also understand issues of mobilization remind that in case of failure to pay a fine, the property of the draft dodger, like any debtor, can be arrested, seized and sold at the state online auction "CETAM", from The amount of the fine will be calculated from the proceeds, and the rest will be returned to the owner. According to lawyers, both real estate and household items can be seized.

As TSN.ua found out, at the moment, at this auction, which has been running since 2014, many lots are being sold that until recently were still the property of debtors. For example, recently on social networks users spread information that the state executive service of the Nikolaev region is selling an amazing lot - a package of yeast. There is indeed such an offer on the CETAM auction website, the starting price of this product is 5 hryvnia. Apparently, the executors seized this package of yeast, because there was no way to seize anything else.

More liquid items are also sold at auction - debtors’ clothing, household appliances, dishes.

Due to the fact that quite a short time has passed since the new mobilization legislation came into force, there is no seized property of draft dodgers at this auction.

“Debtors in enforcement proceedings are individuals and legal entities from whom, on the basis of a court decision, a debt is collected. Including for non-payment of alimony debts, non-payment of wages by the employer and other financial obligations. This is mainly debt arising on the basis of credit agreements and loan agreements ", the CETAM press service told TSN.ua.

In addition, “CETAM” added the following: “At the auction you can find lots with a starting price of less than one hryvnia, as well as lots that cost billions of hryvnia. In particular, factories, aircraft, ships, shopping centers, etc. Usually the purchase of such lot depends primarily on the interest of buyers in it."

What is being confiscated from debtors now:

Among the property that was confiscated from debtors and is being sold, there is a lot of property whose sale can surprise.
For example, a seized steam mop that has already been used is currently being sold at this auction. Its price is 150 UAH, the mop was seized by the Central GIS Department in Mykolaiv.

State enforcement officers of the Khmelnytskyi region arrested the radio receiver of one of the debtors. This product was also sold at an online auction; they asked for it and received 90 hryvnia.

As indicated on the online auction website, in addition to such little things as candy, dishes, clothes, TVs, laptops, home theaters, and furniture that recently belonged to the debtors were sold.
