NABU conducts searches in Lviv SSU, - media

Employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine conducted searches at the home of Vitaliy Podolyak, deputy chief economics department of the SSU.

Journalists Taras Seredych and Vitaliy Hlahola reported about the searches, citing their own sources in law enforcement agencies, on Wednesday, May 22.

According to Taras Seredich, the person involved in the case is the deputy of the main department of economics of the SSU in the Lviv region, Vitaliy Podolyak.

“The case concerns the theft of coal in Krasnohrad mines, to which Podolyak may be involved. The signatory companies of interest to NABU seem to be registered under his common-law wife. So far, searches have been carried out on him, during which his phones and rough notes were confiscated,” Seredych wrote.

NABU refused to comment promptly about the searches by their employees in the Lviv region.
