In Dnipro on the afternoon of May 23, an explosion was heard. At this time, an air raid alert was announced in the region, and subsequently it became known that Russian troops had attacked the suburb with a ballistic missile.

According to eyewitnesses, smoke appeared in the sky after the explosion. The air raid alert in the Dnipropetrovsk region was announced at 9:50 am on Thursday; the explosion occurred at about 12:07 pm.

Before this, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the threat of the use of ballistic weapons from the southeast.

At 12:14, the department warned about the movement of a high-speed target - a missile towards the Dnipro. According to monitoring channels, the invaders attacked the city with ballistics.

The all-clear was announced only at 13.30.

As of 18:30, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk RMA Serhiy Lysak reported that the enemy launched a missile strike on the Dnipro region. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

“There was a fire, which rescuers quickly contained. There were no dead or injured,” he said in his Telegram channel.

In addition, the head of the RMA added that after 9 am the enemy struck the Nikopol region. During the day there were more than 15 attacks by artillery and kamikaze drones.

Nikopol, Myrivska and Pokrovska communities were under attack.

The fire department was hit, and a dormitory and agricultural firm were also damaged, as well as one house and a truck.

The warehouse of a private enterprise caught fire, but the fire was quickly extinguished. No people were injured, reported Serhiy Lysak.
