Second nuclear power unit taken out of repair in Ukraine in a week

An Energoatom power unit with a capacity of 1000 MW was connected to the network. Currently, its capacity is being increased.

This was reported by the press service of Energoatom.

“Thanks to the prompt actions of Ukrainian nuclear workers, scheduled maintenance was completed three days ahead of schedule. As a result, the unified energy system of Ukraine was strengthened with an additional 1,000 MW of electricity,” Energoatom reported.

The head of Energoatom, Petro Kotin, emphasized that Ukrainian nuclear scientists will continue to make every effort to reduce the time required for scheduled maintenance, so that all our power units operate at maximum power.

The Ministry of Energy added that several more units are being prepared for scheduled repairs. This is critically necessary to ensure stable and uninterrupted operation of all 9 nuclear units during the heating season.
