Head of defence enterprise embezzled UAH 2 million in Mykolaiv region

In Mykolaiv region, the head of a defence company was served a notice of suspicion of embezzlement of over UAH 2 million.

This was reported by the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police.

The head of the contracting organization who was modernizing the stands for control and acceptance tests of engines and a turbogenerator also received suspicion.

As investigators established, officials of the defense enterprise and society entered into an agreement to carry out certain work. Thus, the contractor had to modernize stands for control and acceptance tests of engines and a turbogenerator.

The contractor completed the work, but not in full. However, the official documents contained completely different information. The director of the defense enterprise signed and sealed the acceptance certificate for the work performed with false data, on the basis of which the commercial structure received funds into its accounts.
