NACP found a secret batch of gold bullion in the possession of a Kharkiv MP

The NACP established the presence of signs of deliberate false declaration in the amount of 5.72 million hryvnia in the actions of the deputy of the Kharkiv regional council from the Servant of the People party, the general director of the state enterprise JSC Ukrainian Energy Machines Viktor Subbotin (Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code) .

This was reported by ex-People’s Deputy Ihor Mosiychuk.

During the inspection, it was found that the regional council deputy stores 45 kg of gold bullion, but has supporting documents for only 25.9 kg. Documents for 19.1 kg of gold were allegedly lost. Viktor Subbotin did not declare his wife’s bank account in a foreign bank. According to the audit, Elena Subbotina has $4.2 million and 27.51 million hryvnia in her accounts.

On May 15, 2024, the Deposit Guarantee Fund reported that Viktor Subbotin did not fulfill credit obligations on loans issued to a group of his companies by the recognized insolvent Megabank, in which he was the main shareholder. Viktor Subbotin is a party member of the head of the Kharkiv regional council, Tetyana Ehorova-Lutsenko, whose family acquired a restaurant in France and the corporate rights of an enterprise in Poland during the war.
