Blackouts will be long

As stated by People’s Deputy of Ukraine and member of the Committee on Energy and Housing and Utilities Services Serhiy Nahornyak, the situation in the energy sector is extremely complex, because the enemy systematically carries out targeted attacks on the energy system of Ukraine. Therefore, the population should take into account not only the increase in electricity tariffs, but also think about how to prepare for a difficult winter.

He recommends that everyone be prepared for the fact that at a temperature of -10 degrees, Ukrainians will only have light for 12-14 hours a day, and 10 hours without it. According to him, this may be the average scenario this winter.

“The situation is the following, you and I must understand that objectively... and this is the most important point now, even more important than the electricity tariff itself... we must all say frankly today that raising the electricity tariff will not make it possible to in 2024 it would be the same as having light on 24 hours a day, because the situation is actually extremely complex and we see it at the beginning of summer and, unfortunately, it will be even more difficult in winter,” the deputy said.
