In Kirovohrad region, NABU and SAPO carried out a search in the regional prosecutor’s office

On Thursday, June 6, NABU detectives and SAPO prosecutors conducted searches at the premises of the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor’s Office. Investigative actions took place, in particular, in the office and at the place of residence of First Deputy Prosecutor Yuriy Kovalyov.

The head of the Kirovograd Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Yan Strelyuk, informed Suspilne about this. As journalist Oleh Novikov noted on Telegram , we are tentatively talking about a bribery case. Allegedly, Kovalyov could receive part of the illegal benefit for deciding the fate of real estate in the framework of criminal proceedings.

At the same time, Strelyuk assured that as a result of the actions of the law enforcement officers, no money was found and no one was detained. Kovalyov continues to perform his duties at the workplace.
