Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte will become the new NATO Secretary General.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg writes that Mark Rutte only lacks the support of Hungary and Romania to become secretary general.

According to the publication, other 30 countries of the alliance have already supported the candidacy of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

The Dutchman was also supported by current Secretary General Stoltenberg, who said that he considers Rutte a “strong candidate” for the post of NATO Secretary General.

Meanwhile, Hungary is reported to have lifted its veto on Mark Rutte becoming the next head of NATO.
