Education in schools in winter can begin at 10 a.m. - Ministry of Education

During the winter period, a number of activities will be introduced to conduct the educational process.

The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi said this during the hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He notes that in extreme cases, a return to blended learning in schools is possible.

“In particular, online learning during some peak difficult periods,” said Lisovyi.

The Minister notes that there are two approaches to conducting the educational process.

“We are working with training schedules. Today, institutions of higher education and vocational education should start the academic year earlier - during the warm season. They should take a long winter break and finish the academic year later,” he said.

Lesnoy noted that schools will not start the school year earlier.

“We will work with class schedules, shifting, where possible, where there is no shift training, the start of school classes at 10 o’clock. We are now working on these recommendations,” he told parliament.

The minister notes that the second block of issues is the provision of technical equipment to educational institutions.

"These issues should be resolved by local governments. About 30% of educational institutions are provided with generation, but it varies. There is a fairly powerful one that allows the educational institution to operate as a whole, and there are weak ones, when only the indestructibility point, which is located in the educational institution, can work establishment," he said.
