MP Tyshchenko is suspected of being a criminal in connection with the events in Dnipro: his place was searched

The Prosecutor General of Ukraine has served a notice of suspicion to the current MP Mykola Tyshchenko. He is suspected of involvement in the illegal detention of a former serviceman in Dnipro.

For this crime, the people’s deputy faces up to 5 years in prison. This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.

According to the investigation, on June 20, a group of people, acting on the instructions of People’s Deputy Tyshchenko and by prior agreement among themselves, unlawfully deprived a former serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of his freedom using physical force and special means. At the same time, they caused bodily harm to the victim and illegally detained him for a certain time.

The Office of the Prosecutor General agreed on a petition to elect the MP a preventive measure in the form of 24-hour house arrest. In addition to Tyshchenko, law enforcement officers reported suspicion to another person who took an active part in illegal actions, under Part 2 of Art. 127, part 2 art. 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers also conducted searches at People’s Deputy Tyshchenko’s place.

Efforts are currently ongoing to identify other persons involved in the crime. For the crime committed, Tyshchenko faces imprisonment for 5 years.

Several wads of cash were seized from him.
