The police have identified the bodyguards of MP Mykola Tyshchenko who attacked former military man Dmytro Pavlov (’Son’) in Dnipro, beat him and illegally imprisoned him. Police have already detained one of the participants in the events.

This was reported to the National Police. Investigative and search activities were carried out in five regions of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, on June 20, in the center of Dnipro on Dmytro Yavornitskyi Avenue, a group of men in balaclavas and camouflage without identification marks inflicted bodily injuries on the victim and handcuffed him.

The police questioned the victim and witnesses to the incident and identified those involved in the crime. One of the active participants in the beating, Dmytro Pavlov, was detained in the Dnipro region.

As law enforcement officers note, as a result of processing the evidence, the procedural role in the crime of MP Mykola Tyshchenko, who participated in the events, was determined.

“The collected materials, under the procedural leadership of the Office of the Prosecutor General for jurisdiction, were transferred to the State Bureau of Investigation, after which the MP was informed of suspicion. The police will continue to provide operational support,” the statement says.

Based on the conflict, the police, under the procedural leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, began two criminal proceedings - for illegal imprisonment and torture.
