A forced evacuation has been announced in the Kharkiv region: the occupiers want to capture Borova

The occupiers have been approaching Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi for more than a year, and recently made attempts to enter from the Vovchansk direction. Now they are trying to get there from the southern part from Borova.

Due to the constant shelling of Borova in the Kharkiv region, a forced evacuation of 5 settlements has been announced. This was stated by Halyna Kuts, a deputy of the Kharkiv Regional Council, in a comment to Espresso.

"We have a hot spot - Borova. The occupiers have been approaching Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi for over a year. Recently, there have been attempts to enter from the western side, from Vovchansk, and now they are making their way from the southern part - from Borova. Forced evacuation of children was announced in five villages, from Borova towards Kupyansk," she said.

According to her, some children and their parents have already been taken out. Another 22 children need to be evacuated - specialists are working with their parents.

Borova is located along the Oskil River, south of Kupyansk. Russian occupants are trying to enter the city from the side. The town is under constant shelling.

"The Russians want to move closer to Borova. They have had one target for more than a year - Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, a logistics city. If the occupiers take Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi, they will have a reliable rear behind them, where they can deliver all resources by rail," said Halyna Kuts.
