The Russian occupiers continue to try to put pressure on the positions of the Ukrainian defenders and are now determined to capture new settlements in the Donetsk region - Terny and Yampolivka. The details were shared on Espresso.TV by the commander of the 96th battalion of the 60th Mechanized Brigade named Dmytro.

According to him, the enemy now has a goal, which involves moving forward in the Liman direction. At the same time, the Russians are trying to adapt to the tactics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“In the Liman direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are defending their borders, giving a worthy rebuff to the enemy, who is not giving up attempts to capture the settlements of Terny and Yampolivka. For a long time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been waging a defensive war in this direction,” the battalion commander said.

Separately, Dmytro added that in the area of responsibility of the 60th Mechanized Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, they are constantly trying to conduct active combat operations and use a colossal amount of manpower and armored vehicles for this. At the same time, the actions of the Defence Forces do not allow their plans to come true.

"A certain number of personnel were destroyed. The enemy units withdrew to recover and returned with a different force, which had also already suffered serious losses. The Russians let people into battle in the second week after signing the contract, involving them in active combat operations. The age of the Russians is different, there are young guys at the age of 20-25... So far we have managed to calm down the enemy in the direction to some extent,” summed up the battalion commander.
