Media reported new details of the detention of scandalous former prosecutor Rostyslav Ilnytskyi in Lviv

While documenting the receipt of an illegal benefit for assistance in evading mobilisation, law enforcement officers detained the wanted former former prosecutor Rostyslav Ilnytskyi in Lviv.

This was reported by the interlocutor of the UP in law enforcement agencies.

According to the source of the UP, the prosecutor’s office and the SSU documented the fact of extortion and receipt by lawyer Bohdana M. (who is Ilnitsky’s mother-in-law) of unlawful benefits in the amount of $3,500 for influencing the decision-making of officials of a number of TRC and SS of the Lviv region on updating military registration data and receipt of a QR code by two persons liable for military service, as well as granting one of them a deferment from conscription for mobilization.

On July 5, the lawyer was detained after receiving funds in the amount of $3,500.

During a search in the attic of the detainee’s house, law enforcement officers discovered and detained the wanted person, namely Rostyslav Ilnytskyi.

The source of the UP added that urgent investigative (search) and procedural actions are currently being carried out, other possible accomplices in the crime are being identified, based on the results of which the issue of reporting suspicion will be decided.
