Germany secretly transferred a huge batch of military aid to Ukraine: HIMARS, tanks and ammunition
In the summer, Germany secretly began transferring a huge shipment of military aid to Ukraine, which included heavy armored vehicles.
According to the publication, Germany at the end of June - beginning of July almost secretly and unnoticed sent Kyiv another huge military package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It included 39 tanks supplied by the German defence industry and the Bundeswehr.
In particular, last week Ukraine received ten more Leopard 1A5 battle tanks and twenty Marder infantry fighting vehicles from Germany. Thus, the number of Marder tanks supplied by Germany for the war in Ukraine reached 120, and the number of repaired Leopard 1s reached 50.
In addition to ammunition for Leopard 1 and Marder, two Biber bridge-laying tanks, two Dachs engineering tanks, two evacuation tanks and four Wisent 1 mine clearing tanks were added to the arsenal of the Ukrainian army.
Germany also supplied another IRIS-T SLM air defence system (previously three) and another IRIS-T SLS air defence system (previously one) to protect critical infrastructure and cities from Russian air attacks.
Three HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems also appeared on the list of delivered weapons. The Bundeswehr does not have HIMARS weapons, but previously transferred four technically very similar multiple launch rocket systems to Ukraine.
