Russian occupation forces attacked Mykolaiv with rockets on the afternoon of Friday, July 19. The arrival took place in a residential area.

As a result of the enemy attack, there are dead and injured. The mayor of the city, Oleksandr Senkevych, announced this on Telegram.

“We arrived in a residential area. As of now, there are no casualties. There are already three dead, including a child,” he noted.

Also, according to Senkevych, there is damage to the housing sector.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the enemy’s insidious attack on the playground.

"Russian missile strike on Mykolaiv. Hit a children’s playground near an ordinary house. As of this time, five people are known to be wounded. Three people were killed by this strike, including a child. My condolences to family and friends. Russia proves every day with its terror, that there is little pressure on it. This destruction of life must be stopped. New solutions are needed to support our defense. Russia must feel the power of the world,” he said .

According to the latest data, in addition to three houses, a kindergarten was also destroyed. It is known that three people died, said Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.

“The missile hit a children’s playground in the courtyard of high-rise buildings. According to data at this moment, three people were killed - a man, a woman and a child. The boy’s mother is in a state of shock. State Emergency Service psychologists are working with the woman. In total, at least 5 residents were injured,” - he noted.

While rescuers and police are examining the site of the criminal Russian strike. A relief headquarters has been deployed. Victims can file a police report there about destroyed and lost property, Klymenko said.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the invaders have already killed more than 560 Ukrainian children and wounded more than 1,460 more, the Ministry of Internal Affairs added.

The Office of the Prosecutor General previously reported that the invaders hit the city with an X-59 missile.

“Information about the victims is constantly being updated,” the OGPU noted and clarified that among the dead was a 12-year-old boy.

The Mykolaiv regional prosecutor’s office has already begun a pre-trial investigation into violation of the laws and customs of war, coupled with premeditated murder.

In the evening, Senkevych reported that the number of victims had increased to 14 people.
