Scandal in the 59th brigade: part of the command was held accountable after an inspection
In Ukraine, the 59th Separate Motorised Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk underwent a service inspection following a call from paramedic Kateryna Polishchuk, who has the call sign "Birdie".
The Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook .
As noted in the Military Law Enforcement Service, the brigade worked with unit commanders and personnel, checked the decisions made and combat orders of the command. The issues of organizing the execution of combat missions were also studied.
The working group conducting the inspection did not identify any cases of criminal orders. But individual facts of management decisions and factors that could negatively affect the implementation of military tasks were discovered.
“In order to prevent this from happening in the future, the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has taken appropriate decisions and a number of measures aimed at preventing such cases. Individual officials of the brigade command have been held accountable,” the Military Law Enforcement Service clarified.
