The occupiers opened a railway in Mariupol and restored the railway station . The railway will reduce the logistics route by almost 300 km.

Advisor to the Mayor of Mariupol Petro Andryushchenko announced this during the telethon.

“For now we are seeing diesel locomotives entering and leaving Russia. It is not entirely clear why this is so, but yesterday, we saw, a railway station was opened in Mariupol after it was completely destroyed. Only the only diesel train for two cars “Mariupol – Volnovakha" for civilians," he said.

According to the mayor’s adviser, this means that the railway is open again, the engineering work has been completed, and it is connected. At the same time, it is confirmed that no civil railway will be used.

“There is some reason why the Russians have not yet launched a freight train, but they definitely will, at least technically everything is ready. When this happens, it will solve the logistics issue for the Russians very radically, especially considering Kurakhovo and Volnovakha - this minus almost 300 km of travel. In terms of time... they will save from a day to a week, this is quite a strong solution, in fact a logistics breakthrough,” Andryushchenko added.

As he noted, the Russians overcame their dependence on the Crimean Bridge by building an alternative way to support their group in southern Ukraine.

“And this is a very bad story, no matter how you look at it,” the official added.
