SBI investigates sale of Pryamyi TV channel to Petro Poroshenko

The court registry says that the SBI is investigating the sale of Pryamyi TV channel to Petro Poroshenko in 2021.

People’s Deputy Makeyenko indicated in his declaration that he received UAH 8 million for the TV channel, but the investigation believes that the real price was 55 times more.

“Person 4 (apparently Makeyenko - Ed.) sold corporate rights to Parlimo Trading Limited, which owned the TV channel, for UAH 8,265,510.00, and the latter immediately sold the TV channel itself for UAH 462,290,000.00, then is more than 55 times more expensive, which cannot have any other explanation than a deliberate artificial reduction in the value of corporate rights to Parlimo Trading Limited during their sale and indicates that person_4 received undeclared income,” the investigation materials say.

The judge decided to seize part of Makeyenko’s property.
