Situation at the front: fighting continues in all directions

The eight hundred and ninety-fifth day of the large-scale war that Russia is waging against Ukraine is ending. Russian invaders continue to storm Ukrainian positions, our defenders courageously hold back the enemy’s onslaught, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a report for August 6, 2024 as of 16:00. It is noted that since the beginning of the day, 85 military clashes have occurred.

Situation at the front

In the Kharkiv direction, two attacks were carried out near Lyptsi and Vovchansk, where one battle continues.

Three firefights took place in the Kupyansk sector. The enemy was advancing towards Sinkivka and Kolesnikivka. One attack is currently ongoing. The occupants also launched 18 multiple rocket launchers in the area of Petropavlivka.

In the Liman sector, the invading army stormed the positions of our defenders 15 times near Makiivka, Torske, Nevske, Terny and in Serebryansky forest. Twelve battles are over, three are ongoing. Here, the Russians bombarded the area near Borova with three multiple rocket launchers.

In the Siversky sector, 16 firefights took place during the day. The enemy was advancing near Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske, Pereyizne, Spirne and Ivan-Daryivka. Currently, three battles are taking place near Bilohorivka and Pereizne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy made five assault attacks near Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske. Ukrainian defence forces repelled four attacks, and one more is ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, the occupiers increased the number of attacks to 13 - they attacked near New York, Toretsk and Pivdenne. Ten battles were completed, three more are ongoing. In addition, the invaders carried out 20 air strikes, dropping 26 UAVs, on Kleban-Byk, Katerynivka and Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russians carried out assault operations in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Zhelanne, Oleksandrivka, Kalynove, Vesele, Ivanivka, Kalynivka, Skuchne, and Yasnobrodivka. The defence forces are holding back the onslaught of Russian troops and repelled 14 attacks, eight firefights are ongoing. The enemy’s losses in this area are being clarified. The enemy also conducted 11 air strikes on Oleksandropol, Novohrodivka, Mykolaivka, Zhuravka, Skuchne and Mykhailivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, the invaders attacked seven times near Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka, where they were defeated.

In the Hulyaipole sector, the enemy used aircraft to launch 12 NARs near Zaliznychne.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the Russians also failed to succeed, attacking our troops’ positions twice.

In other directions of the front the situation has not changed much.
