MP from OPFL was detained on the border with Slovakia: he tried to escape from justice
The security service detained a deputy of the Chigirinsky city council from the OPZH while attempting to cross the border of Ukraine with Slovakia. A representative of a banned party tried to illegally leave the country.
It is worth noting that several months earlier he was informed of suspicion for justifying Russian war crimes and denying armed aggression against Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
According to the investigation, the defendant, being an ideological supporter of racism, publicly supported the policies of the terrorist country Russia from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion. Law enforcement officers noted that the deputy was spreading enemy narratives about the socio-political situation in Ukraine. Also in correspondence, he shared videos and messages of open Russian propaganda and hostile IPSO.
The Security Service noted that the deputy got in touch with the former people’s deputy of Ukraine from the banned Party of Regions, Volodymyr Oliynik, who is hiding from justice in Russia. In messages to the former “regional”, he sent misinformation about the Security and Defense Forces in the front-line regions, thereby discrediting the Ukrainian military.
The deputy was under house arrest, but, contrary to the ban, he tried to escape abroad. During an unsuccessful attempt to cross the Ukrainian-Slovak border, the suspect was detained.
Currently, the court has chosen an enhanced preventive measure for him - 24-hour house arrest with the wearing of an electronic monitoring device.
According to journalist Vitaly Glagoly, we are talking about Vladimir Goncharov, a deputy of the Chigirinsky City Council from OPZH. Previously, he was also a deputy of the Chigirinsky District Council.
