Teenager wounded in shelling in Kherson

“Under the procedural leadership of the Kherson District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into criminal proceedings regarding the violation of the laws and customs of war,” the statement said.

According to the investigation, on August 19 at approximately 23:00, Russian military personnel launched an attack on Kherson using artillery weapons.

It is known that as a result of the shelling, a 14-year-old girl who was at home was wounded. Doctors determined that she had a closed craniocerebral injury, a concussion, and an acubarotrauma of the ear.

The head of the Kherson RMA, Roman Mrochko, published on Facebook the consequences of this armed attack, which resulted in the injury of a child and the destruction of a collection of rare pigeons.

"A second birthday for the whole family. This is how Kherson residents will consider August 19, 2024, thanks to the fact that yesterday they managed to survive a massive shelling. A 14-year-old girl received an explosive and closed craniocerebral injury, as well as a concussion," Mrochko wrote.

According to him, eyewitnesses recorded 12 arrivals. There are damaged houses and cars, and a collection of rare pigeons was destroyed - 80 birds died at the same time.

It is emphasized that social workers of the Kherson City Military Administration have been working in cooperation with the victims since the morning, providing comprehensive assistance.
