Power outages will no longer be applied next week, said Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of NEC Ukrenergo.

At the same time, he emphasized that such a forecast would be relevant in the absence of emergency situations.

"As long as the heat continues, fortunately, it looks like it won’t be very long, there will be certain hours of shortage during each day, each working day... At the end of the week, we expect that a certain drop in heat, as well as the introduction of additional power units at certain power plants, will allow us to compensate for the shortage.

He also noted that power supply restrictions are introduced exclusively in the evening hours, when consumption increases to its maximum. In such cases, power engineers use one or two shutdown queues.
