Oleksandr Syrskyi awarded paratroopers participating in the operation in Kursk region

On the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day, Syrskyi presented state awards and departmental awards to paratroopers of several brigades of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who are carrying out combat missions in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

Speaking to the paratroopers, the general emphasized the important role that the brigades of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine played in conducting assault and offensive operations, and also noted the significance of the Kursk operation for Ukrainians and the international community.

"Thanks to you, thousands of civilian lives were saved in border areas," noted Syrskyi.

Having presented the awards, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the soldiers for their service.

"Thank you, warriors, for your courage and dedication to the Ukrainian people!" he said.
