The states of the North Atlantic Alliance will expand military aid to Ukraine. This issue was discussed at a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated this, the Alliance’s press service reports.

The Secretary General stressed that Ukraine destroys Russian missiles every day, which helps save the lives of civilians. However, the capabilities of Ukrainian defenders for defense require increased supplies and support.

"Following the latest Russian attacks, allies today confirmed that they are stepping up their military assistance to Ukraine. We must continue to provide Ukraine with the equipment and ammunition it needs to defend itself against a Russian invasion. This is critical to enable Ukraine to continue its fight," Stoltenberg added.

At the same time, the Alliance noted that today’s meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council was held at the ambassadorial level. Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov informed about the current security situation and Ukraine’s priority needs at the meeting.
