The National Police received documents to search for former People’s Deputy Boryslav Bereza for evading military service. It is known that he left Ukraine in March of this year.

This information was reported by the NP’s own sources, notes "Law and Business".

According to available data, back in 2022 B. Bereza   got into an argument with the military personnel who had come to hand him a summons. When the military registration and enlistment office representatives approached him, B. Bereza refused to sign the summons and called the police. He subsequently tried to avoid receiving the summons by staying at the monastery.

B. Bereza has already left the territory of Ukraine, because, according to the source, on March 25 of this year he crossed the border with Ukraine on foot through the Moldovan section in Starokozach and has not appeared in Ukraine for more than six months . In total, over the past 2.5 years, he crossed the state border 21 times.

According to Wikipedia, People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation ( 2014-2019) B. Bereza was born in 1974 in Kyiv. In 1991-1993, he lived in Israel and, according to journalistic investigations, also has Israeli citizenship. Thus, according to media information, he falsified the personal data provided to the Central Election Commission during the run-in and illegally became a people’s deputy.

By the way, according to the source, a procedure is being initiated to deprive Bereza of Ukrainian citizenship due to his having citizenship of another country.

Thanks to falsified data, B. Bereza became a people’s deputy from the Desnyanskyi district of the capital as a non-party member. However, according to information, his legislative activity did not bring significant income: in the period from the first quarter of 2000 to the first quarter of 2024, B. Bereza officially received almost 12 million UAH. At the same time, more than half (6.3 million UAH) was income from entrepreneurial activity, which took place after his deputyship, in the period 2020-2021.

In addition, law enforcement officers have grounds to suspect the former MP of numerous cases of illegal enrichment and laundering of illegal income. For example, during the 2015 elections to the Kyiv City Council, B. Bereza falsified data in his declaration, stating that he allegedly won UAH 3 million in the lottery.

In addition, as the registers show, Bereza hid his income from declaration by registering real estate in his wife’s name. Thus, in August 2016, a 5-room apartment in a new building was registered in her name   Residential complex "Park Avenue VIP", with a total area of 289.7 m2. According to the contract, they allegedly paid less than 4 million UAH for it, although the market value was 10 times higher.

Later, in June 2021, a warehouse in the same building was also registered in the wife’s name. According to experts, its value, indicated in the contract, was underestimated by about 7 times.

In the same 2021, she acquired two parking spaces in a two-level parking lot in the neighboring building. The price specified in the contract was UAH 586 thousand, while the market value was UAH 1.4 million for each.

The ex-MP himself owns modest real estate, registered back in 2008 - a house with a total area of 91.2 m2, located in the village of Sidorovychi, Ivankivskyi district, Kyiv region.

This year, after the death of his father, Bereza inherited 1/2 of a two-room apartment in the capital, with an area of 46.8 m2, where he is registered, as well as half of a garage in the Planeta cooperative.

At the beginning of 2021, B. Bereza purchased a brown AUDI Q7 passenger car, manufactured in 2020, for UAH 2.5 million, spending a significant part of his declared income over the past 20 years on it.

At the same time, most of Bereza’s family members (wife, children, mother) moved abroad during 2022–2023, where they own real estate.

In addition, according to law enforcement agencies, Bereza has recently been pursuing a hybrid information policy for the benefit of Russia. Therefore, he is subject to verification for the presence of facts of treason.

It is known that Bereza is part of the pool of bloggers of ex-president Petro Poroshenko, whose children are evading military service while in London. Poroshenko’s lawyer, Ihor Holovan, as well as his brother and son, are also evading mobilization.
