The Committee advised the Rada to urgently adopt a law on the Unmanned Systems Forces
The Committee on National Security and Defence recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt a bill that would create a separate branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – the Unmanned Systems Forces.
The head of the committee, Oleksandr Zvitnevych, reported this on Facebook.
"We recommended that the Verkhovna Rada recognize the draft law as urgent, reduce the deadline for submitting alternatives by half, and adopt it in the first reading as a whole," he noted.
According to him, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi and Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vadym Sukharevskyi also joined the discussion at the committee.
"Drones have already demonstrated their effectiveness in battles on the ground, in the sky and at sea. The development of combat unmanned systems is what is already bringing results on the battlefield and will ensure them in the near future. The potential of drones is extremely high," the deputy wrote.
