The situation on the front: In the past 24 hours, there have been 153 combat clashes on the front

During Monday, September 16, 153 combat clashes occurred on the front. In particular, more than 20 battles are still ongoing in several directions. The Russians are most actively attacking in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

«In total, since the beginning of the day, 153 combat clashes have occurred. The Russian aggressors carried out 63 airstrikes on Ukrainian territory, dropping 83 CABs. In addition, the Russians used 448 kamikaze drones for strikes and conducted over 2900 shelling attacks on our forces’ positions and populated areas», the report says.

It is noted that in the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked our troops’ defensive positions near Vovchansk twice.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attempted ten assaults in the areas of Novosynove, Synkivka, and Lozova. Ukrainian defenders repelled six attacks, four more are currently ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, throughout the day, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions 21 times near Hrekivka, Druzhkivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Novosadove, Lozova, Bilorivka, and in Serebryanskyi forest. Four battles are currently ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy attempted to attack in the areas of Ivano-Daryivka and Pereizdne. Ukrainian defenders stopped three Russian attacks.

In the Kramatorsk direction, one clash near Vasyukivka is ongoing and five enemy attacks have already been repelled by our defenders.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russians attacked the Defence Forces 16 times near Nelipivka, Druzhba, Toretsk, and Zalizne. Our warriors stopped 13 enemy attacks, and three are still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers attempted to break through our defenses 40 times near the settlements of Vozdvyzenka, Hrodovka, Novohrodovka, Marynivka, and Krasnyi Yar. Two clashes are still ongoing.

In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy is also active - they attacked our positions 42 times near the areas of Ukrainsk, Tsukuryno, Zhelanne Pershe, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Katerynivka. According to updated information, four battles are ongoing.

In the Vremivka direction, the invaders carried out offensive actions near Vuhledar, Katerynivka, Vodiane, and Kostiantynivka. They were unsuccessful in three combat clashes, and four assaults are still ongoing.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to advance towards our positions near Robotyne.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian invaders unsuccessfully attempted five times to push Ukrainian units out of their positions.
