In Ternopil, there was an explosion: part of the city is without electricity

According to the information, residents of the Druzhba neighborhood heard the sound of the explosion. Social media users also report a power outage.

As noted by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), there was a problem with the transformer.

"At 21:01, a report was received of an explosion at 8 Lukyanovycha St... Upon arrival, it was established that the explosion occurred at the 110 kW transformer substation. A part of the transformer caught fire," the SES reported.

As a result of the incident, residents on Chornovola and Franko streets were left without power. It is expected that the power supply will be restored within an hour.
