In Kyiv, debtors may start being disconnected from centralized heating
In Kyiv, solutions are being developed that could affect the disconnection of debtors from centralized heating, says a public activist.
Housing and utilities expert Krystyna Nenno noted that payment for heating is the largest component of expenses and debts, which continue to grow.
These are services, for which, even if you don’t pay, they cannot be disconnected, the pipe won’t be shut off, because those who live above you are conscientious payers. Suffering for your neighbor - it doesn’t work that way.
She added that there is currently a big question regarding what to do with existing debts.
If we talk about debt forgiveness, it would be unfair: why did I pay, but my neighbor did not, and his debt was forgiven, gifted? That won’t happen.
