In Kherson, as a result of a Russian strike on the city center, 7 people were killed
The number of people killed as a result of the shelling of downtown Kherson has increased to seven, with three residents also injured. The shelling occurred near the local market and a public transport stop.
This information was reported on "Telegram" by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
«The occupiers attacked the market in the center of Kherson. As a result of the shelling, commercial points suffered, where Kherson residents were buying or selling goods in the morning», the statement said.
As indicated, at the moment it is known about at least eight victims. Preliminary, five people died, and three others were injured.
The injured were taken to a medical facility. They are under the supervision of doctors.
Prokudin published a video showing the aftermath of the shelling.
«Under the supervision of the Kherson District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has begun into the criminal proceedings for violations of the laws and customs of war», the statement said.
According to the investigation, on October 1, 2024, around 9:00 AM, Russian forces struck, presumably using artillery, at the center of Kherson. The shelling occurred near the local market and a public transport stop.
As of today, it is known that seven civilians were killed as a result of the shelling — three women and four men. Three residents were also injured and are receiving qualified medical care. The data is being clarified.
