Verkhovna Rada intends to reinstate the tax on international parcels worth up to 150 euros

This was stated by the head of the parliamentary tax committee, Danylo Hetmantsev.

"The 150 euro exemption must be abolished. Currently, we are finalizing the preparation of the corresponding draft law, we will introduce it, not waste time, and are definitely determined to implement it, despite a certain part of the population that will be dissatisfied," noted Hetmantsev.

According to him, the need for taxation of parcels is supported by both retail networks and domestic manufacturers.

"There should be no taxation imbalances, as it negatively affects the markets. In this case, we unjustifiably support foreign producers. Our manufacturers – from light industry to food products – pay VAT, while those producing in China do not. From the perspective of state tax policy, it is absolute nonsense and absurdity: we are punishing people who create jobs, pay taxes, and generate added value, in favor of people about whom we know nothing," – emphasized the deputy.

Hetmantsev added that he will personally seek support for the law.
