Shelling of a village in Chernihiv region: death toll rises to 3

This was reported by the Communications Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

«Today, in the afternoon, the Russians cynically attacked peaceful civilians in the border village of the Snovska community in the Koryukivka district. The enemy attacked with drones a gas truck, which was delivering household gas to people, leading to the detonation of the truck and the ignition of residential houses. Preliminary information indicates that three people were killed - the driver and the truck’s agent, as well as a girl born in 2018», the report states.

According to the information from the National Police of Ukraine, four more people were injured, including two children aged 13 and 4.

All relevant services are working at the scene. The police are providing necessary assistance to the injured, documenting the aftermath of the attack on civilians as part of the investigation of a criminal case under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

“A terrible act of terrorism. The enemy has attacked the Koryukivka district border again. Preliminary information reports three fatalities, including a 6-year-old child. Four injured - a 4-year-old boy, a 13-year-old girl, and two men. All were hospitalized”, – reported the head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus.

He noted that the Russians deliberately hit the vehicle carrying liquefied gas to the people with a drone. The gas cylinders exploded, causing residential houses to catch fire.

Surgeon doctors from the Koryukivka hospital arrived to assist the medics. The doctors managed to stabilize the conditions of the two children, and they were transferred to the Chernihiv Regional Children’s Hospital. The children’s condition is assessed as critically stable.
