Occupiers attacked Sumy region eight times during the night and morning

Russians continue to attack the Sumy region: in the sky above the region at night, the Defence Forces destroyed five Russian "Shaheds." In addition, the invaders targeted the border areas of Sumy with FPV drones and GABs.

At least eight enemy shellings were recorded on the night and morning of October 6. Details were reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

Throughout the night and until 8 a.m. on October 6, Russian invaders attacked the border and settlements of Sumy eight times.

"Ten explosions were recorded. The communities of Khotyn, Myropillya, Bilopillya, and Velykopysariv were shelled," clarified the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

They reported that the Russians struck the Velykopysariv community with FPV drones: two explosions were heard.

One FPV drone strike was recorded in the Myropillya community.

In the Bilopillya community, the invaders used mortars (at least three explosions were heard) and dropped a GAB.

The Khotyn community also suffered from Russian GABs: three explosions were heard there.

Additionally, the occupiers directed "Shaheds" towards Sumy at night. As a result of intense combat operations, Defence Forces fighters destroyed five Russian strike drones in the sky above the region.

"We thank the Air Defense units of the Air Force, the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the border guards for their coordinated work, protection, and saved lives!" noted the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
