In the capital, an event was held in support of missing and captured military personnel

At Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, an event was held in support of missing and imprisoned defenders on the occasion of Territorial Defence Day.

This was reported by the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The organizer was the "Association of Families of the Territorial Defence Defenders of Ukrainian Cities".

Relatives and friends of servicemen spent two hours trying to draw the attention of Ukrainians, the Ukrainian government, and the international community to the issue of searching for the missing and freeing captive Ukrainian heroes.

The event was attended not only by relatives of the fighters of the Territorial Defence Forces but also by members of other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Representatives of the command of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights, the Coordination Headquarters on the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, former captive fighters, active servicemen of the Territorial Defence Forces, public and cultural figures also joined the event.

It is noted that currently, the Unified Register of Missing Persons under Special Circumstances, maintained by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, officially lists 55,000 citizens of Ukraine. Most of them are servicemen of the Defence Forces.
