Air defence forces destroyed about 15 drones with which the occupiers attempted to attack Kyiv

On Monday, October 7, the sky defenders repelled the Russian drone attack on Kyiv for the second time during the night. Approximately 15 Shahed-type strike UAVs were destroyed in the airspace over the capital.

No damages or casualties were reported in the city. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA), Serhiy Popko.

He emphasized that this was the fourth air attack on Kyiv since the beginning of October. As each time before, the Russian occupiers once again used strike drones.

The drones attacked Kyiv in waves and from different directions. The air alert in the capital was declared three times throughout the night and lasted for a total of more than two hours.

"Air defence forces and assets detected about one and a half dozen Russian drones in the airspace around Kyiv. All enemy UAVs that threatened the capital were neutralized," noted Popko.

He added that there was no information regarding damages or casualties in Kyiv as a result of the attack. The operational summary data is being updated and clarified.
