The occupiers struck with a FAB-500 in a densely populated area of Kharkiv: reports of casualties and destruction

On October 8, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation bombed the densely populated area of Saltivskyi district in Kharkiv with FAB-500 bombs. There are damaged high-rise buildings, at least two dead, and three injured civilians.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, and the city mayor, Ihor Terekhov, confirmed that explosions had occurred. According to reports from local online communities, the first explosion occurred around 16:55 on Tuesday. Later, smoke was seen rising above the site of the explosion.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the enemy used guided aerial bombs towards the Kharkiv region at 16:49. Twenty minutes later, the Russians carried out repeated attacks. Residents of the city heard explosions again.

As of 17:18, according to Terekhov, it was known about two fatalities. At 17:32, Syniehubov clarified: "Civilians died, a man and a woman... People were on the street at that time. At least three were injured."

At 18:29, the head of the regional administration stated that the deceased were 70 years old. "The ammunition was FAB-500. The enemy also struck Cherkaska Lozova. There were no casualties," he reported.
