Air defence forces shot down 42 out of 98 Shahed-136/131 attack drones and 4 missiles

During the night and until the afternoon of October 19, Russian occupiers launched attacks on Ukraine – defenders shot down 42 UAVs and 4 guided missiles.

This was reported by the Air Force.

More than 100 aerial targets were detected in the sky: 98 enemy drones and six guided aviation missiles X-59/69.

During the air defense battle, 4 guided aviation missiles X-59/69 and 42 enemy UAVs were shot down in the regions of Odesa, Sumy, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Chernihiv, Poltava, Mykolaiv, and Kherson.

An additional 46 Russian drones were lost in the area; information regarding their shooting down/crash is not yet provided.

Russia launched the missiles from the Black Sea waters, and the UAVs from Kursk, Yeysk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
