A new CEO of "Ukroboronprom" has been appointed

Oleh Hulyak has been appointed as the new CEO of JSC "Ukrainian Defence Industry".

This decision of the supervisory board was announced by the Minister for Strategic Industries Development, Herman Smetanin.

More than 20 people applied for the position of head of "Ukroboronprom", with three candidates making it to the shortlist. The supervisory board conducted final interviews with them and selected a candidate. As Smetanin noted, representatives from the embassies of the USA, the UK, and Germany were involved in the interviews.

"Oleh Hulyak is well aware of the urgent needs of the military and is an experienced manager. The main tasks he now faces are to increase production volumes, continue the reform of the state defense industrial sector, and build an effective anti-corruption infrastructure," Smetanin said.

It is worth noting that from 2021 to 2024, Hulyak was the commander of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At "Ukroboronprom", he held the position of advisor to the CEO on military cooperation matters.
