Vitaliy Kim explained why he acted as a guarantor for MP Kormyshkina

The High Anti-Corruption Court has chosen a preventive measure for a deputy from the "Servant of the People" party, suspected of illegal enrichment. The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration explained why he vouched for Iryna Kormyshkina.

This was reported during the "United News" TV marathon by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim.

According to him, he has known the deputy Kormyshkina for over 20 years.

The official emphasized that the woman is currently cooperating with the investigation and is not hiding from anyone.

"She is not hiding from the investigation. The investigation will clarify who is guilty, I have nothing to comment on here. I know that this (vouching. — editor’s note) will allow her to work normally, and she is cooperating with law enforcement, providing all documents. This enabled the court to release her on bail."

Meanwhile, a Member of Parliament, Maryana Bezuhla, notes that Kormyshkina’s husband is a millionaire.

"Whether it was incorrect declaration filing or anti-corruption officers decided to gain an easy profit that looks flashy in headlines — I hope for a fair investigation."

Bezuhla emphasized that "we should not resort to lynching people just because of their wealth."
