On the evening of Saturday, October 26, Russian occupation forces once again launched Shahed 136 attack UAVs at Ukrainian cities. The enemy drones entered Ukrainian territory from the Sumy direction.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially, the threat of enemy strike UAVs was limited to the Sumy region, but now an air raid alert has been declared in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions.
Separately, the Air Force warned of the activity of enemy tactical aviation in the northeast direction. In connection with this, there was a threat of the use of aviation weapons for frontline regions.
At 21:06, launches of guided aerial bombs were recorded in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
The report of enemy strike UAVs was received at 21:34 – their movement from the Kursk region through Sumy towards Chernihiv in a southwest course was recorded.
As reported by Air Force monitors at 22:29, a new group of enemy UAVs was recorded in the Chernihiv region, with a group moving southwest towards the Kyiv region. Monitors reported "a pair of drones towards the Kyiv region and three in the Konotop area."
At 22:35, an air raid alarm sounded in the Kyiv region, excluding the capital.
At 22:50, Air Force monitors clarified that the UAVs were "approaching Vyshhorod/Brovary, and the air defense system may start working loudly there."
