The National Agency on Corruption Prevention has started monitoring the lifestyle of Judge Ihor Dashutin of the Cassation Administrative Court of the Supreme Court. The focus is on the use of elite properties that are difficult to justify with official income.

The NAPC reported the start of the monitoring in response to a request from the lawyers of the "Tysny" project (Bihus.Info).

Recently, journalists demonstrated that Judge Ihor Dashutin, along with his family, likely resides in an elite cottage town in Kyiv. However, Dashutin does not own any real estate there. Instead, his mother-in-law purchased a house there last fall. Currently, houses of such size without renovations cost at least 18.5 million UAH.

Ihor Dashutin and his wife Anna do not own any real estate or cars. They only use what belongs to their relatives, but the sources of funds for the relatives’ property purchases remain unclear.

Following the release of the story, the lawyers submitted an application to the NAPC regarding the possible discrepancy between the judge’s lifestyle and his available assets and those of his family.

If the lifestyle monitoring reveals signs of a corruption violation, the NAPC will report them to the relevant authorities.
