President Zelenskyy summed up the visit to Northern Europe
The Ukraine – Northern Europe Summit turned out to be extremely productive. As a result, new packages of military assistance and support for the Ukrainian energy system were agreed upon. Additionally, the topic of investments in weapon production in Ukraine and the development of joint defence projects was discussed.
This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an evening address on October 30. "Just concluded my visit to our friends from Northern Europe – the fourth Ukraine – Nordic countries summit. Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden. Very productive," he said.
According to Zelenskyy, following the visit, "we agreed on new support packages for our defence, as well as for our energy sector."
There was also much discussion about investments in Ukrainian weapon production and the development of joint defence projects.
"We have a substantial history of such relations with Denmark – we call it the Danish model, which allows us to attract funds from our partners directly into Ukrainian defence production. For instance, we are manufacturing artillery – around 20 ’Bohdan’ units per month, good results in other areas as well. There will be more results. Shells, equipment, drones – everything necessary. I am grateful to everyone who helps us," the president said.
Zelenskyy added that work is ongoing to strengthen Ukraine’s air defence.
"At the NATO summit in Washington, there was a completely clear, specific agreement regarding air defence systems for Ukraine, as well as brigade support. Currently, this is not fully realized. And we really hope that our ’Nordic’ partners will help us with this in contacts with other partners. Agreements must be fulfilled. And especially in the conditions of such a war," the head of state stated.
He separately expressed gratitude to the Northern European countries for supporting the Victory Plan – "a strategy of actions that is already on the table":
"We are ready to hear proposals from other countries, other views – please. But for now, the clear, calculated vision of further actions together with partners is in our Victory Plan. The main thing is to find the resolve to fulfill the points, and this will definitely bring us closer to peace."

Zelenskyy also thanked them "for fully understanding our logic regarding the invitation to NATO for Ukraine."
"Ukraine always offers only what can really help push for true peace. And we do not tire of explaining this, including to our partners in Berlin, in Washington, and others," the president said.
According to the Ukrainian leader, the "contours of the Ramstein meeting" which is to take place in the coming weeks, can already be seen:
"It is very important that each support package is fully implemented and that our steps with partners are indeed joint and maximally effective."
Zelenskyy also informed that he is currently in Zakarpattia, where he has many meetings and regional matters that are important for the whole of Ukraine. This includes working with local communities and entrepreneurs.
"In a few years, it has been possible to make Zakarpattia one of the pillars of our resilience – for all of Ukraine. I spoke here today with community leaders of the region, with business representatives," the president said.
He added that together with First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko, he had a meeting with the region’s businesses – in particular, businesses relocated from other regions.
"We see how production is growing here, what the prospects are, and at the same time there are issues, there are problems. We will certainly help with solutions," Zelenskyy promised.
The plans also include visiting wounded defenders.
"Now I will also visit our guys – warriors who are undergoing rehabilitation after injuries. Our fighting guys – from our brigades fighting in Donetsk, in Vovchansk, in Kursk. I want to thank them on behalf of all our people – of all Ukraine – and honor them with state awards. For such necessary work, such service, for their such necessary bravery. The bravery that always matters decisively – both on the battlefield and in political decisions. We very much hope for the courage of our partners," the Ukrainian leader concluded.
