In Kharkiv, the head of a Russian company who was helping "Roskosmos" launch spy satellites was arrested
The Security Service of Ukraine and cyber police detained in Kharkiv the CEO of a Russian company located in Volgograd that assists "Roskosmos". While in Ukraine, he worked for the military space forces of the aggressor country.
This was reported on Thursday, October 31, by the press centers of the SSU and the Office of the Prosecutor General. According to the investigation, the suspect turned out to be a 47-year-old resident of Kharkiv.
The detained individual manages a Russian company that configures the spy satellites "Kondor-FKA" and "Obzor-R".
"The aggressors use these space systems to detect current geolocations of the Defence Forces, adjust enemy fire, and conduct reconnaissance. To calibrate and configure Russian satellites, the suspect entered into relevant agreements with the corporation "Roscosmos," reads the press release.

According to the signed document, the suspect ordered the transfer of his company’s test site for the use of RF military space forces.
The suspect organized the work of his company’s employees for validation subsatellite observations during the flight tests of the "Kondor-FKA" complex. This involved the preparation of radar reflectors and measurement tools. He also appointed a ground support leader and calculation leaders for conducting ground measurement sessions, calculating the placement scheme of radar reflectors within the test object, and measuring environmental characteristics.

The suspect signed all necessary documents via email and issued instructions to subordinates in Russia through messenger chats.

"During the investigation, it was also established that before the full-scale war began, the suspect lived in Russia for a long time and even participated in the Kremlin’s program for relocation to the aggressor country. Law enforcement documented the suspect’s subversive activities and detained him at his residence in Kharkiv," reported the SSU.
During searches, a Russian passport, computer equipment, and mobile phones with evidence of criminal actions were seized from the detainee.

The suspect was also found holding over 10 million in hryvnia equivalent, allegedly received for collaboration with the occupiers.
Investigators from the Security Service reported to the detainee about the suspicion under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding the aggressor state). He faces up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Currently, the suspect is in custody.
An investigation is ongoing to hold accountable all participants involved in assisting the aggressor in the war against Ukraine.
