U.S. Congress members arrived to Kyiv
On November 1, American congressmen Mike Rogers and Jerry Carl (Republican Party), as well as Mike Quigley (Democratic Party), arrived in Ukraine. They first visited the National Police and later held talks at the Ministry of Defence.
The politicians were met by Bridget Brink, the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine. On her page on X (Twitter), she posted a group photo of the delegation with the first deputy head of the Patrol Police Department, Oleksiy Biloshytskyi.
Brink noted that the National Police was the "first stop" on the visit’s agenda. There, the congressmen "saw firsthand how US aid is making a difference in supporting Ukraine’s freedom and democracy."

On the same day, Rogers (chairman of the House Armed Services Committee), Carl, and Quigley met with representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence and the head of the department, Rustem Umerov. Rustem informed in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defence about the "productive negotiations."
Umerov informed foreign politicians about the military situation, North Korea’s support for Russia, and the situation with military aid for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"During the visit, we presented the capabilities of our defence-industrial complex and discussed areas where the US can help strengthen our production," the minister noted.

"One of the important aspects is also lifting restrictions on the use of Western weapons on Russian territory. This will help gain an advantage on the battlefield, especially before winter. We count on US support in this matter as well," he added.
