Forced mobilization makes sense, and it is indispensable, - military
This statement was made by the commander of the 15th Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade, Oleksandr Popov.
"War is a very complex thing. It does not accept softness. So when you say ’forced mobilization,’ I wonder: what other kind could it be? Voluntary? I don’t understand how one can sit somewhere and, for some reason, not join the army. In my world, a man is associated with a warrior and must defend those behind him who cannot protect themselves," said the commander of the ’Black Forest’ brigade.
He also shared his personal experience regarding mobilization.
"If I hadn’t been a military man my whole life, and if there was such a need, I would certainly go. People tell me: ’You see, different people have different levels of awareness.’ I cannot disagree with that. It is a complex and long-term issue because you work on people’s awareness, so forced mobilization makes sense. There’s no way around it. If you look at history, this has always happened. And there have always been those who, for some reasons, avoided this mobilization. This is not a new phenomenon that emerged in Ukraine," he explained.
