Ukrainians assessed their level of well-being: only 16.3% rate it as "good"
As of September 2024, 31.1% of Ukrainians assessed the financial condition of their family as poor, 49.6% as neither poor nor good, and 16.3% as good.
This became known from the presentation of a survey by the Razumkov Center on Youtube.
Compared to June of this year, the share of those reporting a negative financial state decreased from 37% to 31%. In addition, these figures are better than the data from the pre-war year of 2021.
In September, 12.2% stated that they barely make ends meet and do not have enough money even for the most necessary products.
Another 35.8% reported that they have enough for food and the purchase of necessary inexpensive items.
Moreover, 40.7% said that they generally have enough money for living, but purchasing long-term goods, such as furniture, a refrigerator, or a TV, is already a problem.
Only 0.5% of respondents can afford to buy almost anything they want.
An approximately equal share of citizens often tries to buy the cheapest products, paying less attention to their quality (44%), and those who more often allow themselves to buy higher quality (more useful or tasty) products, even if they are more expensive (45%).
The latter comprise only 15% of those responding that they "barely make ends meet," and 81% of those responding that they "live well-off."
The survey was conducted by the Razumkov Center from September 20 to 26, 2024, using face-to-face interviews in all regions of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied territories and areas of active hostilities. A total of 2016 respondents were surveyed, and the theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.
