At the border with Chernihiv region, Russian soldiers have installed the Russian flag

Russian media reported that Russian military crossed the border into Chernihiv region and raised the Russian flag on a bridge over the Sudost River near the settlement of Hremyach. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine explained that the saboteurs did not cross the bridge and did not enter the village, and additional Defence Forces have been deployed in this direction.

This was reported by the spokesperson of the SBGU, Colonel Andriy Demchenko, in a comment to UP.

"The threat from Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups remains relevant, especially in the Chernihiv region. Although the activity of saboteurs has significantly decreased lately, the terrorist country has not abandoned the use of sabotage groups, particularly to exert psychological influence.

Today, Ukrainian defenders in Chernihiv region discovered a Russian tricolor installed near the border on a destroyed bridge over the Sudost River. The statement by Russian propagandists that a sabotage group entered Hremyach does not correspond to reality. The bridge near which the enemy saboteurs installed their rag was not crossed by them."

The SBGU spokesperson explained that the area where the sabotage group appeared is effectively cut off by rivers, and no one lives in the settlements between the rivers and the border. Moreover, due to the constant flooding of that area, it is impossible to establish proper fortification defenses.

At the same time, Demchenko assures that the Ukrainian Defence Forces fully control this direction and are positioned in the most advantageous locations to maintain defense.

 "Currently, the necessary additional resources from the units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces are engaged in this direction, and anti-sabotage reserves are operating. Therefore, it is not worth succumbing to the information-psychological influence of the enemy. Ukrainian defenders have destroyed and will continue to destroy the enemy and its saboteurs."
